Issuing a Partial Refund
In re:Members AMS a partial refund can be issued to return only a portion of the original payment to the customer, rather than the full amount.
Use Case: A customer selected the wrong registration type when registering for an event and overpaid.
To issue a partial refund, a credit must first be created for the entire payment amount. The credit applied to the customer's account will then be used to purchase the product at the correct rate. Then, what's left of the credit can be refunded.
Follow the steps below to issue a partial refund:

Click Cancel. The Cancel Invoice window will appear.

If the invoice was paid by credit card, the Refund Payment checkbox will appear. Uncheck this checkbox.
-
In the Line Items section, choose all items in the invoice to be canceled by clicking the checkboxes.
-
Manage the Cancel Quantity of each line item being canceled, as well as the Item Credit Amount and Shipping Credit Amount.
-
Fulfilled Inventory Items Only: For invoices containing inventoried items already flagged as "fulfilled", a Restock Quantity field will appear. This field can be edited only if a non-zero value is set in the Cancel Quantity field.
